Why Should You Submit an Abstract to the 2023 Cord Blood Connect?
Are you considering submitting an abstract for the 2023 Cord Blood Connect? Take note below of a few of the excellent benefits accepted abstract authors receive:
- Exposure to a Worldwide Audience
- Whether your work focuses on preclinical studies, clinical trials, perinatal tissue banking and therapies, cord blood collection, or cord blood bank management, your work is impactful to the cord blood community. Connect is an excellent platform to share your research with peers from more than 28 countries.
- Publish Your Research
- Accepted abstracts will be published in a special supplement of STEM CELLS Translational Medicine, the official scientific journal of the Cord Blood Association.
- Qualify for the Best Abstract Awards
- Annually, a select number of abstracts are chosen for the Cord Blood Connect Best Abstract Awards. Award winners will be invited to present their abstract in front of the full Cord Blood Connect audience during a special education session. Submit an abstract today!
Submission Timeline
- Submission Deadline - June 16, 2023 (11:59 PM EST)
- Acceptance Notification - Third Week of July, 2023

General Submission Guidelines
- Abstracts must be submitted online and be complete. Incomplete submissions will not be reviewed.
- Submission Guidelines
- Abstracts may be structured with five sections: Introduction, Objectives, Methods, Results and Discussion.
- The maximum abstract length is 350 words.
- One table (in Word format) or figure (.jpeg or .png) may be included.
- Include no footnote references: References to articles in the medical literature can be included within the text of the abstract.
- Separate submissions must be made for each abstract you wish to present.
- Abstracts should present new work. Submissions can be based on prior work but, should offer new information that is not published.
- Letters of acceptance will be emailed by the third week of July 2023.
Poster Presentation Instructions
- Posters should be formatted in portrait, not landscape
- The poster surface is cloth-covered cork and has an area 4' high and 8' wide. Do not exceed the size of the poster surface area. Your poster does not have to be the maximum size but must stay within the specified dimensions and should be large enough to be read from a comfortable distance
- Poster Presenters are responsible for printing and transporting their own posters to Connect. There will be no onsite printing services available.
- You are not required to submit your poster to CBA prior to the Meeting
